Designer with a Machete - Blog idea

I originally had this idea in September of 2011 and never went ahead with it. The idea was to create a blog dedicated to empowering designers, giving advice, and just trying to focus on getting more respect for our craft.

At the same time, just like then, my problem is that I also need to keep my own personal blog, which now desperately needs an update. Because of that, I'm not sure if I'll get to implement this, but you never know.

The idea for the layout originally was to make fun of the entire "minimalist and whitespace is AWESOME" movement that dominated web design, but it seems that isn't really an issue anymore. So now the design skews a few other things, like the "fixed header". It's there, but SKEWED! YEAH! TAKE THAT, modern graphic design!
