The Mentalist Poster

Client: Lucas Simmons

I wasn't sure what I wanted to do for this poster, so I did a few sketches of just classic magician stuff until I came up with an idea I liked, namely doing one of my classic skulls using the classic iconography of a guy with a turban and a spinning dial trying to psyche you out. Lucas Simmons is a hell of a guy, and I hope he enjoys the take!

The design was based on the classic Alexander posters you may have seen at one point or another, but with a more modern look. I wanted to keep the basic typography ideas, but I also wanted to add more Art-Nouveau ideas in it to add to the richness of the piece.
