The Land of the Nameless Creatures

The Land of the Nameless Creatures

While I'm filing this under design, it's actually an excuse to post a short story I started working on today.

It was long ago that the moon first saw me come upon this land in the hills. Though not too far from my own home, the area always seemed barren and, at the very least, unappetizing to visit. The land is littered with small holes that lead to caves and monuments located in vast wastelands with the occasional swamp in between. A river runs through the area filled with beasts that would kill with ease anything that came upon them.

It was in this land that lurked the Nameless Creatures. They slumbered and toiled in their monuments and holes, all of them looking the same and appealing to nothing and no one other that the other creatures that seemed to exist around them. The Nameless Creatures come in various shapes and sizes, though most tend to be more portly than the others, a condition forced upon them by extended bouts of lethargy.

Many have come to this land for trade at an outpost, and some were doomed to serve them by giving them meals or supplies from the outside world, forced to brave the rivers and the beasts that lived within.
