Almost Again

Back on March 28th, I originally started this piece. It was an experiment in Rorschach ink blots, but I wound up giving up on the original piece when the piece went a different route. I wanted to keep it just in case.

Today was a day where I felt like I woke up for the first time in a while. Ironically enough, I still feel tired and sleepy as well. After falling asleep, I woke up and did this. It was originally ink, and then I put in one of my self-portraits and a photo of my eye, and expanded on the original ink with some digital ink brushes.

Anyone who knows me knows I'm a giant Strapping Young Lad and Devin Townsend fan, and I will gladly admit this piece was inspired by the artwork for "The New Black" and is named after one of the songs, "Almost Again". It just feels right.
