Music, Sex, and Religion - The Art of Larry West Flyer

I wasn't sure what to call my art show, so after posting two ideas on Facebook, someone suggested this. I actually had a similar idea, only instead of "sex" I was just going to say "babes".

Ever since Sunday I started messing around with this idea, and I took a risk and tried a different style than what I normally do. In the end, I decided that instead of going for that clean look, I wanted to just be me and do something I missed and enjoyed instead.

I also wrote an "Artists Statement" that I'm debating using for the show. I was reading an issue of Juxtapoz currated by Ron English, one of my favorite artists, that came out in November of last year that I never read. It was amazing, and I loved it! That's also when I realized how much time I spend getting work compared to doing it. It means a lot, but I'm not sure if its right for this show.

Finally, in terms of what will be at the show... I'm still not 100% sure. I have ideas, and I may wrap up a few pieces that I only posted a sketch or pencils, but we'll see.

Oh, and I'm a little sick. So there's also that.
